Add a Meta pixel, chat, booking or map to your site

A Meta pixel for your Facebook and Instagram ads, a live chat bubble, a booking calendar, a map, a video — whatever the tool, you add it the same way: paste what it gives you into the Ullbek chat, say where it goes, and publish.

One way for everything

Most online tools that work with your website hand you a small piece of code to put on it. They call it different things — a pixel, a tracking code, an embed code, an install snippet, a widget — but on Ullbek they're all handled the same way. You don't need to understand the code, and you never open a file.

  1. Copy it from the tool

Look for a button like Embed, Install, Share → Embed or Install code manually in the tool's own dashboard. Copy everything it shows you.

  2. Paste it into the Ullbek chat

Open your site in Ullbek, paste it, and say in plain words where it goes and what it's for — "every page", "on the Contact page under the form", "as a button that opens the calendar".

  3. Check the preview, then publish

The change shows in your preview straight away. When you're happy, ask Ullbek to publish so it goes live on your address.

Skip the WordPress and Shopify steps

Many tools show instructions for WordPress plugins, Shopify apps or "paste into your theme's header". You don't need any of that. Choose the option to install the code yourself (often called manual or other website), copy the code, and paste it into the chat.

The Meta pixel (Facebook & Instagram ads)

If you advertise on Facebook or Instagram, the Meta pixel tells Meta who visited your site from your ads and which visits turned into enquiries — so your ads reach more people like your customers.

Get your pixel code

  1. Go to Meta Events Manager and sign in with the account that runs your ads.
  2. Choose Connect data, pick Web, and give it a name.
  3. When asked how to set it up, choose to install the code manually.
  4. Copy the base code. It starts with <!-- Meta Pixel Code --> and contains your pixel ID, a number of about 15 digits.

Add it, and say what counts as a lead

Paste the base code and tell Ullbek which visitor actions matter to you. Meta has standard names for these — Lead for an enquiry, Contact for a call or a message, Schedule for a booking — and Ullbek will use the right one.

Example message to Ullbek
Please add our Meta pixel to every page. Count it as a Lead when someone sends the quote form, and as a Contact when someone taps our phone number.

<!-- Meta Pixel Code --> … (paste the whole thing)

Check it's working

In Events Manager, open your pixel and use Test events: enter your site's address, click around, send the form — each event should appear within a few seconds. Or ask in the chat: "Is the Meta pixel firing on the Contact page?"

A live chat bubble

Chat tools such as Tidio, Crisp, tawk.to or Intercom give you a short install snippet. Paste it into the chat with something like "Add this chat widget to every page". The bubble appears in the corner of every page, and the messages arrive in that tool's own app — not in Ullbek.

Just want WhatsApp?

A "Chat on WhatsApp" button doesn't need any tool. Give Ullbek your WhatsApp number and say where you want the button — it opens a chat with you on the visitor's phone.

A booking calendar

Booking tools such as Calendly, Cal.com, Square Appointments, SimplyBook.me or Fresha let you embed your calendar so customers book without leaving your site. In the tool, look for Share or Embed, choose the inline or pop-up option, and copy the code. Then tell Ullbek how you want it:

Example message to Ullbek
Add a Book page with our calendar on it, and make every "Book now" button on the site go there.

(paste the embed code from Calendly)

Only have a booking link, not an embed code? Send the link. Ullbek can embed a Calendly or Cal.com calendar from the link alone; for other tools it makes your buttons open your booking page.

Maps and videos

These two need no code from you at all.

  • A map — tell Ullbek your address: "Add a map of 12 Harbour Road, Brighton to the Contact page, with a Get directions button." It adds the map and a directions link that opens Maps on a phone. Prefer a map you've set up yourself? Paste the code from Google Maps → Share → Embed a map.
  • A video — paste the YouTube or Vimeo link and say where it goes. Ullbek embeds it so it fits every screen size and doesn't play until a visitor presses play.
  • A social post — paste the post's link. Ullbek can embed the live post, or show a lighter link card if that looks better with your design.

Other tracking codes

Every other ad platform and analytics tool works exactly like the Meta pixel: copy the code from the tool, paste it into the chat, say "every page", and say what should count as a lead. That covers the TikTok pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag, the Pinterest tag, Microsoft Clarity, Hotjar and the rest.

For Google Ads and Google Analytics, see the dedicated guide: How to add Google Analytics & Ads tags. It also covers counting calls and enquiries as Google Ads conversions.

Privacy and cookie banners

Tracking pixels use cookies. If people visit your site from the UK, the European Union or another place with similar rules, the law there generally expects visitors to agree before tracking starts. You can ask Ullbek for a cookie banner that only switches the pixels on after a visitor accepts:

Example message to Ullbek
Add a simple cookie banner with Accept and Decline. Only load the Meta pixel and the Google tag after someone clicks Accept, and remember their choice.
Your call, your responsibility

What your site needs depends on where you and your visitors are. Ullbek builds what you ask for; it can't tell you what the law requires. If you're unsure, your ad platform's own help pages are a good place to start.

Common questions

Is it safe to paste code into my site?

Copy codes only from the tool's own dashboard, signed in to your own account. Your site publishes exactly what's on it, so a code someone sends you in a message could do anything a website can do. If you're not sure where a code came from, don't add it.

Will it slow my site down?

A little — every outside tool adds something to load. Ullbek loads them so your page appears first, and heavy things like maps and videos only load when a visitor scrolls to them. If your site feels slower after adding several tools, ask Ullbek to check which one is the heaviest.

Does it work on the free address?

Yes. Pixels, chat bubbles, booking calendars and maps work on the free .ullbek.site address and on your own domain.

I added it, but it's not on my live site.

Changes show in your preview first. Ask Ullbek to publish, and the live site updates.

How do I take it off again?

Say so in the chat — "Remove the Tidio chat widget from every page" — and publish. Cancel the tool's own plan separately in that tool.

Got a code to add?

Open your site, paste it into the chat, and say where it goes. It's live as soon as you publish.
